Another Victory For Lawyer TK Dzimega And The Hohoe NDC.

AFO LARRY , NDC Youth Organiser at RC Primary Branch 2 Hohoe, has been set free for being wrongly convicted for ten years.

Afo Larry was convicted and jailed for ten years in  July 2022.

Lawyer TK Dzimega hearing the matter took it upon himself and appealed against the decision at the High Court, Hohoe and the Court set aside the conviction and sentence imposed on him.

Afo Larry reunited with his family and friends yesterday 3rd May,2023.

 

 

It could be recalled that, Samuel Dzigbordi Ntem, the son of Godwin Ntem, the NDC Coordinator of Agoxoe Abehenease of the Alavanyo traditional area was convicted and jailed for 10 years by the Circuit Court in Kpando in December 2020. Mr. Godwin Ntem approached Lawyer TK Dzimega who took up the matter and appealed against the decision at the High Court, Hohoe and on 30th March, 2023, the High Court agreed to all the arguments of Lawyer TK Dzimega that Samuel Ntem was wrongfully convicted. The High Court therefore quashed the 10 years sentence imposed on the young 22 years old Samuel Ntem.

The 2 Young men Samuel Ntem and Larry Afo who were to spend 10 years of their productive age in prison are free today.

Lawyer TK Dzimega was the Legal Officer for the NDC in Hohoe Constituency during the 2020 elections. He represented members of the party in court whose eligibility as voters were challenged in 2020 registration. He also represented the Akan Constituency in the Hohoe High Court to quash the decision and have almost 376 applicants issued with their Voters Cards.

Theophilus Dzimega who doubled as a Lawyer and Engineer is currently contesting to be the parliamentary candidate for the Hohoe Constituency.
