The Kwawu Easter Festival, held from April 19th to 21st, 2025, in the Eastern Region of Ghana, provided a platform for businesses to thrive.
Another way to help businesses succeed is to provide individual corporations a stage on which to display their goods and services to the general audience.
The government, under the leadership of H.E. John Dramani Mahama’s resetting agenda, organized a trade exhibition for various institutions and organizations.
Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah, promised to continue this initiative under the NDC leadership.
Financial Literacy Key to Business Success
Mr. Edward Ato Sarpong, Managing Director of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), educated the public on financial transactions and banking. He emphasized the importance of credibility in banking relationships, stating that it is paramount for building business sustainability and confidence in the financial environment.
ADB’s Role in Supporting Businesses
Dr. Sarpong encouraged individuals to establish bank accounts with ADB, citing minimal rates and affordable interest. He explained that depositing money in a bank can attract loans to start or expand businesses, albeit at a cost of interest to the customer or borrower.
Celebrating ADB’s 60th Anniversary
The MD invited the general public to ADB’s 60th anniversary celebration, which will feature numerous educational activities. Specific dates will be announced later.
Promoting Business Growth
Dr. Sarpong commended the Kwawu business community for their entrepreneurial spirit, citing examples of successful businesses such as Alisa Hotel, Sikkens Paints, Kwawu Motors, and Padmore Motors. He also praised President John Mahama and the NDC government for theming the conference alongside the national agenda “resetting the economy.”
The Kwawu Business Forum provided a valuable platform for Dr. Sarpong to share his expertise and promote financial literacy among the public.
