120 Days In Office: Same Old John ” Dead Goat ” Mahama; Nothing Has Changed – Yiadom Boakye (YB) Writes

Former President of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) and Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser Hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yiadom Boakye, has expressed disappointment in President John Mahama’s leadership, stating that despite his experience, the administration’s performance has been underwhelming.

Boakye notes that the sacking of over 12,000 public sector workers is a concerning trend. Additionally, the erratic power supply, commonly known as “dumsor,” has resumed, causing disruptions to daily life.

Furthermore, Boakye cites excessive abuse of power, particularly by national security officials and NDC vigilante groups, as a major issue. The recent increases in utility bills, including a 14% hike in electricity bills and a 4.02% increase in water bills, have also been criticized.

The introduction of a tourism tax has also been met with disapproval. Boakye expresses concern over the galamsey situation, stating that water conditions in the country are deteriorating, and NDC officials seem to be protecting those involved in the destruction.

Moreover, the handling of cocaine scandals has raised eyebrows, with over $500 million worth of the substance missing under mysterious circumstances. Boakye also highlights the disappearance of over 1,350 ECG containers from ports, with efforts to retrieve them dwindling.

Lastly, the worsening Bawku conflict, with a death toll exceeding 400, is attributed to the government’s politicization of the situation. Boakye concludes that the NDC administration has proven empty and clueless in handling Ghana’s affairs.

120 DAYS IN OFFICE: SAME OLD JOHN ” DEAD GOAT ” MAHAMA; NOTHING HAS CHANGED

President John Mahama should be one of the most flawless and faultless presidents in the country because of his experience of serving as president for 6 years and 8 years as the opposition leader. We are all expecting an unscathed leadership from his end, but unfortunately, we are experiencing the same old “dead goat ” we’ve known him to be. Nothing has changed.

In this 120 days, we’ve seen the sacking of over 12000 public sector workers by the approval of the same old “dead goat ” JM. This action defeats his 24-hour economy campaign promise.

In this 120 days, we’re experiencing the return of his trademark erratic power supply ( dumsor ). This has led to the burning and destruction of markets, shops, homes, and businesses.

We’ve seen the excessive abuse of power, especially from national security officials and NDC known vigilante groups, attacking homes and offices.

The typical John “dead goat ” Mahama always robs Peter to pay Paul, hence the increment of utility bills after the cancellation of some old taxes. An example is the 14% increment of light bills and water bills up by 4.02%. All these are coupled with the introduction of the tourism tax.

We’ve seen Galamsey emboldened as water conditions in the country have been affected and deteriorating day in and day out, but NDC officials are seen protecting people involved in these destructions. The failure to prosecute foreign nationals, especially Chinese involved in Galamsey, but opting for extradition, is a big U-turn when they were in opposition.

In these 120 days, cocaine scandals are swallowing the government with over $500 million with of the white substance missing in mysterious ways. Interestingly, government communications bureau are seen defending it all over.

We’ve seen the “flying ” of over 1350 ECG containers from our ports without traces with efforts of retrieving them dying off day by day.

We’ve also seen the worsening situation of the Bawku conflict with a death toll hitting over 400 due to your politicisation of the situation during the just ended campaign period. This happened due to your insensitivity and quest for political power at all costs.

This is the real , actual, and accurate account of your 120 days in office. The NDC has so far proven to be empty and clueless in handling the affairs of Ghana.
