The Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation Prof. Kwabena Frimpong Boateng has on Tuesday, 10 November, 2020 give respite to some communities within the Atwima Mponua District by giving them Motor powered conoes and boats.
The presentation was done at Amadaa where chiefs from Kotokuom, Anwiafutu, Adiembra, Nyinawusu and many other adjoining communities along the Pra and Offin rivers receive the largese from the respected Heart surgeon of international standard.

Giving his speech, Hon. Williams Darko expressed his gratitude to the Minister for such gesture to some beneficiary in the various communities. He stated that, the perennial annual floods that affects the people of Amadaa has been resolved through the ingenuity of Hon. Frimpong Boateng, the ministry and the District Assembly.
In addition, Hon. Darko was full of praise to the presentation as it will ameliorate the traveling stress of the indigenes along the River Offin and Pra. In addition, he commended the novelty of Community mining where it has produced sustainable jobs and the provision of social amenities such as eight ( 8 ) units classroom block in the community. He added that, it’s the NPP Government that provided lights, water, a school block and now a river transport to the community so they should thank the President with a resounding victory in this year’s general election.

Prof. Frimpong Boateng thank the President for coming to the aid of the constituents. He noted that, the death of a seven member families in 2015 and 3 kids in 2017 as a result of a capsided canoe devastated the President very much. “The President directed my office to make sure this gory deaths never happens again”, he posited.
The Minister noted that, the 24 Seater speed Boat can travel to all communities along the River Pra and Offin in few minutes and at a lower cost. He also presented twenty-six (26) life jackets to the communities. He also mentioned that, all tree stumps in the Rivers have been removed, hence reducing the likelihood of accidents on that stretch.
He reiterated that, everyone votes to better their lives and he believes what the NPP Government has done deserves another term. He promise to bring more speed boats to augment the transport challenges in the communities.
The chiefs and the people within the communities show much appreciation to the minister and his entourage. Acting like Oliver Twist, the people asked for and asphalted road network to reduce the motor accidents.
