Be Wary Of Imposters Using My Name For Fraud – Akim Swedru MP Cautions Public

Kennedy Osei Nyarko, the member of parliament (MP) for Akim Swedru, has asked for the people to ignore all statements made by several fictitious social media accounts that use his identity.

He disclosed that a recent Facebook account created in the name of a specific “Commander Prince Gnadago” and using the phone number 0574359121 to market itself as the MP’s protocol appointment coordinator is a fake that might be exploited to scam unwary individuals.

 

Mr. Kennedy Osei Nyarko has subsequently reported these fake accounts to security services to take further action.

 

He has also cautioned the general public to avoid all transactions on social media with such people.”My attention has been drawn to several fake Facebook accounts bearing my name.

The latest of these is a Facebook account through which a certain Commander Prince Gnadago with the phone number 0574359121 is advertised as my Protocol Appointment Coordinator.

 

 

 

 

 

These accounts do not belong to me, nor are they connected to me in any way.

The accounts are used to defraud and rob unsuspecting members of the public of their money by promising jobs, contracts, and other favors, all of which are fraudulent.I have reported these to the websites concerned and also to the security agencies, which are making efforts to apprehend the rogues and stop them.

In the meantime, the general public is to take note and is warned to avoid all such transactions on social media with persons purporting to be Hon. Kennedy Osei Nyarko and that all who transact any business with such rogues on social media do so at their own risk”.
