In accordance with the data, since 2012, the Municipal Education Directorate has not given out prizes to teachers.

Additionally, this is the first time the Education Directorate has collaborated with the Birim Central Municipal Assembly and the Office of the Member of Parliament to plan such a vibrant prize for the teachers.

The prize, according to Municipal Education Director Mrs. Easter Quaye-Sowah, is intended to honor and celebrate the invaluable contribution of committed teachers who help mold society’s future.

Mrs. Easter Quaye added that the award makes a significant contribution to the socioeconomic development of our country by creating the future workforce.

She pointed out that the incentive will consequently increase teacher retention and the worth of the service.

She added that it is for these reasons that the education directorate wants to honor such exceptional individuals and express gratitude for their incredible work.

PATRONAGE

In the words of Hon. Castro Asomadu Addai, The planning/Sponsorship committee chairman for the Teacher’s Prize, it has been a while since they have arranged an event for the teachers, therefore this incentive will be more extravagant than the previous one.
