Two of Nigeria’s biggest music artists David Adedeji Adeleke also known Davido and Dani Ebunoluwa Ogulu  known professionally as Burna Boy allegedly clash at a nightclub.

According to a Ghanaian blogger, ‘Ghhyper1’ who was an eyewitness, things got out of hand to the extent that guests took to their heels when the two clashed.

“Immediately I saw Burna and his boys, I told a friend Burna is looking for trouble and it happened like a movie,” he said.

It it not clear what might have triggered the fight. The two have a long standing beef in the industry. In a post on his Twitter page on Monday, Samuel Oguachuba, a singer better known as Samklef, said the two music stars indeed had an altercation at the club.

According to Samklef, the incident happened when boys loyal to Davido attempted to prevent the ‘African Giant’ crooner from entering the same nightclub with the ‘Risky’ singer.

“I just confirmed that Na as I post am Na him e take happen for Ghana. From a reliable source,” he wrote in Pidgin.

The two singers have continued to make the headlines over what seemed to be an unending superiority tussle alongside Wizkid.

The ‘FEM’ singer had sparked controversies earlier this year when he declared himself and Wizkid as Nigeria’s greatest artistes of all time.

News of the rumoured clash has since ignited a heated conversation on Twitter with many Nigerians taking to the microblogging platform to comment on the incident.

Night clubs still closed

It is unclear why the nightclub in question was operating against President Nana Akufo-Addo’s directive for clubs to remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The president in his 20th televised address to the country a week ago said pubs, night clubs and beaches in the country remain closed.

Akufo-Addo said, “Beaches, pubs, nightclubs remain closed. All institutions cleared to function must do so with strict adherence to the covid-19 safety protocols…”

The president advised that families that will be gathering for family events and other event organizers should put all safety measures in place and make sure that the safety measures are adhered to by patrons of the events.

“With barely a week to the Christmas festivities which will bring in its wake family reunions, parties and many social gatherings, I urge all of you to err on the side of caution and observe the covid-19 safety protocols no matter where you find yourself.
