Economic Challenges Could Affect NPP’s Chances In 2024 Elections – Global Info Analytics

The Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, Musa Danquah, has said that public dissatisfaction with economic difficulties, the slow pace of progress, and the fight against corruption are likely to reduce the prospects of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) winning the 2024 presidential election.

Thus, he asserted that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) “stand a reasonable chance of winning the 2024 elections” as a result of the electorate’s desire for change in the midst of the difficulties.

Musa Danquah, however, said it expected the NDC to win due to the bad governance of the NPP government.

He claimed that even though he anticipated the NDC to triumph in the 2024 elections as a result of opposition to the NPP administration, he also anticipated that an NDC-led administration would experience many of the same problems.

“Due to anti-incumbency considerations and widespread unhappiness with the current administration, we predict that the NDC will take over as the country’s leader after the 2024 elections,” Musa Danquah
told Kwaku Owusu Adjei(Patoo) on Adwenekasa on Accra-based Original FM 91.9.

“However, irrespective of who retains power, we expect policy continuity in the medium-term, with a focus on improving food security, industrialisation and economic diversification. The new government will face similar challenges to its predecessor, but overall political stability will prevail. ”
