Ghana water Ends Free Water Delivery

The Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources and the Management of Ghana Water Company Limited, wishes to inform all customers and the general public that, the last meter reading for the month of December, 2020, officially ends the FREE WATER DELIVERY.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This was contained in a press release signed by the PRO of Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) on Tuesday, 22nd December, 2020.

” 31st December, 2020 marks the end of government’s directive to the GWCL to serve Ghanaians with free water, as part of measures to curb the rapid spread of the COVID-19 pandemic,” the statement said.

The general public are to note the following;
1. Landlords/Landladies can now revert to the earlier arrangements with tenants prior to the free water delivery.
2.Water vendors can resume normal work after December, 2020.
3. Disconnected customers who were reconnected to enable them enjoy free water must pay all arrears to remain connected.
