Government extends free water, electricity to March 31

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has announced that, government will continue the free water and electricity initiative to the end of march 2021.
According to him, the decision is to reduce the “continuing difficulties occasioned by the pandemic.”

Addressing the nation from Jubilee house on update No 21, measures taken against the spread of Covid-19 in the country, President Akufo-Addo said.

“Additionally, all 1.5 million customers of the Ghana Water Company, whose consumption is not more than five cubic metres a month, will not pay any bills for the next three months, i.e. for the months of January, February and March.”

Ghana water company in December announced that the free water by government will end on the 31 of December 2020 but government has extended to date to March 31, 2021.
