Gov’t Declares Friday As A Public Holiday

The Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery has declared Friday, December 1 as a public holiday.

The day has been set aside to mark the Farmers Day occasion.

“The general public is hereby informed that Friday, 1st December, 2023 which marks Farmers’ Day, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the count,” the Minister said in a statement.

The National Farmers’ Day is an annual celebration of farmers and fishermen, observed on the first Friday of December.
