GPLwk30: Samartex Snatch Late Win Against Hearts of Oak

Hearts of Oak were stunned at the Nsekyire Sports Stadium as Samartex came from behind to snatch a late win against the Phobians.

Samartex FC secure a vital 3-2 win over Hearts of Oak at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex in an exciting Ghana Premier League  match-week 30 fixture.

The home team with a blistering start which eventually got them the opener in just five minutes into the game through Kwasi Fosu.

Six minutes after, they had a dangerous free kick to increase their lead but Keyekeh had his free kick dealt with accordingly by Richard Attah

Hearts of Oak looked completely outclassed in the opening 20 minutes as the host nearly scored again from free kick but again, Attah to the rescue with a great stop.

On the 31st minute, captain Gladson Awako picked up an Injury and was replaced with youngster Gideon Asante who came close to score in just eleven minutes from his introduction to get the equalizer for the ‘Phobians.

In the second half, the Timber giants returned with so much pressure mounted on the giants including series of free kicks but all couldn’t count.

On the 63rd minute, the visitors gathered their pieces and scored through Congolese international Linda Mtange to give his side the lead for the first time in the game.

The homesters equalised from a free kick which was well taken by Emmanuel Keyekeh to draw the scoreline to 2-2.

Just and when Hearts of Oak thought they were leaving Samreboi with a point, Samartex scored again at the death to make it 3-2 and subsequently claimed all three points.
