The President of United Fetish Priests Association who hail from Kintampo North Municipality of Bono East Region Nana Mosi Bansere, has render an unqualified apology to the Member of Parliament for Kintampo North Constituency of the Bono East Region over unhealthy (death Comment) passed against him.

Nana Mosi in an interview with the media on Monday 3rd July 2023 asked the Electoral Commission of Ghana not to wait for Kintampo North MP and other non performing MP’s to pass on before conducting By-Election and therefore urges Parliament to amend the Constitution to pave way for By-Election even when the said MP is not sick and alive.

A comment which according to the Member of Parliament for Kintampo North (Hon Kumah Joseph Kwame) is a death threat orchestrated by Nana Mosi to end his Political Career, dent his reputation or end his life hence the apology.

” I retract the death comment and apologize to him. I did not say I’m going to kill him or wish him dead. The MP think I said I’m going to kill him which is not the case. I will gain nothing when he dies so why should I wish him dead.” He added.

He further said he received calls from Some prominent people from the Constituency asking him to apologise to the Hon Member on the death comment so he needs to humbly retract and apologise though he did not intend to threaten him but just want the best for the Constituency. He stated.

BACKGROUND

DON’T WAIT FOR KINTAMPO NORTH MP TO DIE BEFORE YOU CONDUCT BY-ELECTION; WE NEED IT NOW – NANA MOSI BANSERE TO EC

The President of United Fetish Priests Association who hail from Kintampo North Municipality of Bono East Region Nana Mosi Bansere, has called on Parliament of Ghana to as matter of urgency amend the section of Ghana’s Constitution that frowns on removal of a sitting Member of Parliament untill he died or absent His/Herself from parliament for specific time without seeking permission to permit the Electoral Commission to conduct more By-election in the Country.

According to Nana, if power is giving to the constituents as that of the Assembly Members who can vote out non performing MMDCE’s will force Government and political Parties to be more serious when they win power.

“Don’t wait for Kintampo North and other non performing MP’s to die before you Conduct By-Election, that section of the Constitution needs to be amended. By-Election is now the fastest way to get development in Ghana. Kintampo North needs By-Election now”. He added.

Speaking to media, Nana Mosi noted though Kintampo North Constituency has Mp (Hon Joseph Kwame Kumah) yet his performance is nothing to write home about hence the need to call on the MP’s to amend the Constitution to pave way for By-election in Kintampo North. He was quick to add that he has no personal issue with the MP but His performance is below belt hence the call.
