The Jaman North District branch of Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association (GNTDA) have made donation to a Chips Compound in Kabile, a community of the Jaman North District. Speaking to MyGhanaMedia.com after the donation, the secretary to the association in the district, Mr. Tawia Fargas stated that, Tailors always work with the people of the country hence the need to provide their quota to support and save lives in the various health facilities.
The association provided toilet rolls, paper tissues, soaps, drinkables and other personal protection equipment which he said will facilitate quality Heath delivery in the era of covid-19.
Receiving the items on behalf of the entire staff of Kabile Chips Compound, Mr Salia Alhassan the nurse incharge appreciated the Tailors and Dressmakers Association for the kind gesture and asked the association to provide more of it kind to ensure quality Heath care.
He said the provision of tissues and other drinkables will help them in the performing of their duty in this period of the pandemic covid-19.
Madam Krah Stella, secretary of the Jaman North District branch of the association, Kabile local added that, the commencement of the donations by the association across the district is to make the work of Tailors and Dressmakers attractive in the eye of others within the district.
She therefore pleaded with the youth in Kabile and Ghana at large to show up in apprenticeship programs because it is a great way to create ones’ own business and employment to make life better. She finally pleaded with government to consider the local Tailors and Dressmakers in terms of awarding of contract for school uniform to be sow in bulk for government schools which she said will generate income for the Tailors in the local areas.
