The Northern Region branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has set up a committee headed by the regional minister to vet all members of the party who applied to be considered for metropolitan, municipal and district executives (MMDCEs).
A notice issued by the NPP Northern Region Secretary, Alhaji Sibdow Alhassan Yakubu, said the interviews will begin Wednesday, May 19.
The interviews will be held at the Northern Regional Coordinating Council.
Among metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies (MMDAs) applications have been received for are Tamale, Kumbungu, Kpandai, Savekugu, Nanton, Gushegu, Saboba, Mion, Wulensi, Yendi, Tolon, Tatale, among others.
