On Sunday, March 17, 2024, the Royal Ann College of Health Chapter TESCON launched an enormous campaign aimed at gaining votes for Dr. Mahamodu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the ruling party, and Madam Shirley Kyei, the Member of Parliament for the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency in the Ashanti Region.
The Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) is the student wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of Ghana, founded on January 8, 2000.
The Royal Ann College of Health (RACOH), established in September 2010, is a private health training institution under the government that is fully accredited and affiliated. The college runs health-accredited and affiliated programs.
Commencing at the RACOH campus forecourt, the procession featured an impressive exhibition of the accomplishments of the NPP government led by Akufo-Addo and Bawumia.
In order to raise awareness among the Atwima Nwabiagya indigenous community about the importance of granting Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP the chance to govern Ghana for the next four years, hundreds of TESCON members dressed in the vibrant colors of the NPP and paraded through the streets, shops, taxi ranks, and markets.
Students engaged in leisurely conversation with vendors at the Abuakwa market, elucidating to them the merits of the NPP and Dr. Mahamodu Bawumia’s policies.
The action that attracted the attention of party supporters and onlookers was intended to help Dr. Mahamodu Bawumia win the presidency in the 2024 election.
In an interview with Mr. John Kwame Duodu, popularly known as SIR JOHN is NPP First Vice Chairman of the Constituency, the Ashanti Regional TESCON Patron and TESCON Chief Patron of Royal Ann College of Health, he expressed his opinion that it is a good idea for the electorate of Ghana to endorse Dr. Bawumia to serve as the country’s president.
He asserted that the NPP can win the 2024 election, particularly if its members dismiss their tendency towards complacency and focus by launching a significant campaign for Dr. Mahamodu Bawumia prior to the general elections.
During the “It’s Possible” outreach campaign, the affable first vice chairman of the constituency outlined the reasons for voting for Madam Shirley Kyei as the member of parliament for the area and Dr. Mahamodu Bawumia as president.
