Video: I Will “Mafia” You- Health Committee Chairperson Tells Akandoh

As Chairperson for the Health Committee in Parliament, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, has warned Mintah Akandoh that he will ‘mafia’ him.  

His warning stems from the needless public stunt pulled by the ranking member of the Health Committee when he attempted to visit the Afari Military Hospital in Ashanti region without using the right channel.  

A fallout ensued between the Minority members of the Health Committee and soldiers on guard duties at the 500-bed Afari Military Hospital last Monday during their unofficial visit to the project site.   

The soldiers informed the MPs mainly National Democratic Congress (NDC) members that were not under an obligation to allow them inspect the state of the project.  

 

Addressing the issue on Wontumi TV, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie stated that the exercise by his colleagues in Parliament were needless and they should have respected him by informing before embarking on the unsuccessful trip.  

 

He explained that the current state of the Afari Military Hospital is as a result of the misappropriation of funds secured by the erstwhile NDC government. 

 

Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie stated that he is baffled Mintah Akandoh would then turnaround a paint a picture the government of President Akufo-Addo is responsible for the level the project has reached when John Mahama must be held responsible.
