The people of the Santasi Apire community under the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region together with their Municipal Chief Executive ( MCE), Richmond Agyenim Boateng who is also Security Chief Officer and the district police Commander has teamed up with the residence to fight against insecurity in their community.
Addressing the media in a ground durbar, the district police Commender, DSP Richmond Yeboah revealed that there has been a lot of untimely death bodies recorded from the Santasi-Apire Community within this year 2020, which is tarnishing the image of the community.
He therefore appealed to the chief and good people of the entire Community to support the security agencies by releasing a plot of land to construct a police station to reduce the crime in the area.
Adding, he also urged the assembly member of the area to provide ten (10) strong volunteer men from the community to assist the police in order to fight against insecurity in the area.
He again added that, anyone who will found selling india herb ( weed) in the area would be arrested and no body should come and plead on his or her behalf.
The MCE for the area Richmond Agyenim Boateng expressed dissatisfaction in the insecurity in Apire Community describing it as awful situation. He pleaded to the residence and chief in the area to add up their few support to the district assembly to extend the police post instead of constructing a new police station because of inadequate land in their area.
The chief of Apire Nana Obiri Kwran II also showed concern and his worry about the insecurity in their Community. He also urged the community to help the police so that, the Untimely death in their Community will be the thing of the past.
