Ministry Of Food And Agric Applauds NICHE For Supporting Agric Schools In Ghana.

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) has expressed their Gratitude to the Netherlands Initiative for Capacity Building in Higher Education (NICHE) for supporting some Agric Colleges like, Damango Agric College,Ejura Agric College, Kwadaso Agric College and others in the country with CAPITAL, TRACTORS, PLOUGHS , HARROWS , PLANTTERS and other equipments to enhance their academic standard.

According to the Director of Human Resources Management of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture,Mr Lawoety Tettey, this equipments will help to expand the required facilities in the colloges,and also create an entrepreneurial awareness and knowledge among staff and students in their education research and outreach.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the NICHE’s four (4) Program in Ghana at Kwadaso College of Agriculture School in the Ashanti Region he added that, it will also help to strengthening the colloges in their overall institutional organization performance and the capacitating staff on managerial, technical entrepreneurial competence.

He therefore appealed to the staffs of the colloges to make good use of the equipments.

 

In addition, the principal of Kwadaso Agric College, Rev Benjamin Asante Mensah also stand on behalf of all the colloges and applauds the Netherlands Initiave for Capacity Building in Higher Education (NICHE) for supporting the Colloges to expand their facilities and also help to improve their academic standard.

He also appealed to the government led Nana Akufo Addo, Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu Ababio, Authorities and other Stakeholders come to Kwadaso Agric College aid with the help of some challenges especially, the encroachment of their school land.

 

Meanwhile, the Project Director of the Netherlands Initiative for Capacity Building in Higher Education (NICHE) Mr Hans Maltha also added his voice by saying Ghanaians are lucky to have a fertile lands for Agriculture purposes.

He said, it will help the young Ghanaians for employment.
