Tain Divisional Chiefs Laud Hon Dr Lucy Acheampong For Showing High Spirit Of Leadership

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Tain in Bono Region, Hon Dr Lucy Acheampong has paid a courtesy call to Tain Divisional Chiefs to officially introduce herself to them at Menji. The visit afforded the Chief Executive to engage the Chiefs to have a fair idea for mutual administrative works in their respective areas. The communities which form the Tain Divisional Council are: Menji, Debibi, Nkonawaagye and Nasana .

 

 

 

 

 

The president of the Tain Divisional Council who doubles as the Paramount Chief of Nkonawaagye, Nana Fosu Gyeabour II thanked the DCE for showing high level of leadership in her few days into office. The president praised Hon Dr Lucy Acheampong for respecting and recognizing the role of Nananom in her developmental drive agenda in the District.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Speaking at meeting, Hon Lucy Acheampong shown her profound gratitude to Nananom for their unfettered efforts in making Tain a better destination enclave in many decades to date. She also praised Nananom for appreciating the individual cultural heritages as means of deepen our sense of purpose in vast level of diversity.

She further stressed for the need for unity, cooperation and peace to help place Tain forward in terms of development. That: ” Tain has now benefited from government’s 1D1F initiative as I speak. We can give an extension to this laudable initiative to affect all the political zones in factory. We can have 1 zone 1 factory in the District”. She promised to engage stakeholders to create Community Development Committees in all various towns to help easily identify developmental needs in the District. The DCE highlighted on needs assessment module designed to engage Assembly members to administer to help this discourse.

 

 

 

 

 

The Registrar for the Divisional Council, Mr. Manu Gabriel, enumerated the various challenges in their respective areas. A wide array of challenges were mentioned; starting from issues of Cashew protection, road networks, electricity, health and sanitation as well as security issues so to speak.

Finally, Nananom asked the Chief Executive to guard against petty reproach due to the sensitivity of the position. They promised to work hand in hand with her to help develop Tain. Hon Dr Lucy , thanked them for making themselves available for such a fruitful meeting. She promised to make this kind of visitation a routine business to help function as a leader.

The DCE also visited Menji SHS to inspect works to prepare the school to usher well into the next academic year when school resumes.

She ended her working visit at the project site of the 1D1F initiative in the District. The project supervisor assured the Chief Executive on their readiness to hand over the project to government very soon as action is been expedited for Tain to have its fair share of government’s flagship policy on 1D1F initiative. The DCE promised to start various feasibility studies for other factories to affect all the zones in the District. She thanked the workers for their seriousness towards the project.

A working -visit saw the faces of the District Coordinating Director; Mr. Kumi Acheaw, the District Works Engineer, Assembly Members as well as Party Executives.
