Management of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has reportedly ordered the President of Students Representative Council (SRC) of the University, Michael Adofo Abuah to step aside for probe over alleged embezzlement of fund and misconduct.

The SRC President, Michael Adofo Abuah, and Speaker of the SRC, Andrew Anokye Kyeremanteng, were each given orders by management of the University to refund GHC6,710.00 by August 8.

The duo allegedly took the money under the pretext of educational excursion but did not go anywhere as they have been charged with misusing of student funds.

The Judicial Committee should liaise with the Director of Students Affairs for the necessary actions to be taken for the effective running of the SRC Administration,” the letter stated.

On record, Michael Abuah becomes the first KNUST SRC President at the KNUST in history to be sacked from Office.
