Ghana’s President Akufo-Addo Mourns Brazil Football Legend Pele

President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has joined leaders across the globe especially those in the football fraternity to mourn the passing of Brazil football legend, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known by his nickname Pelé.


The only footballer in history to have three FIFA World Cup trophies to his name passed on Thursday, December 29, 2022 after suffering a prolong colon cancer and prostrate disease.


Taking to his twitter, President Akufo-Addo’s wish is for the legend’s soul to “rest in perfect peace with the Almighty”, adding that “there will never be another like him.”
