Atwima Mponua: DCE Pledges To Rebuild Collapsed School Block In Atwima Asamang

The District Chief Executive for Atwima Mponua in the Ashanti Region, Hon Isaac Kofi Marfo on Wednesday, 8th March 2023 visited the Atwima Asamang D/A Primary school which classroom blocks were unroofed after a heavy rainfall on Saturday, 4th March, 2023 .

 

 

 

 

 

 

The DCE met with the Assemblyman of Atwima Asamang, Nananom, Headteacher of Atwima Asamang D/A Primary, the ruling New Patriotic Party’s executives and some opinion leaders.

 

 

 

 

 

 

In his speech, Hon Isaac Kofi Marfo said education is one of his major priorities since it is the pivot of development.

 

He therefore assured the community of swift measures by the Assembly to ensure that the classroom blocks be put back in good shape to promote quality teaching and learning in the school.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hon Isaac Kofi Marfo also highlighted on the efforts by the NPP- government to ensure free, quality education for all thereby introducing Free SHS/TVET.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“The district has benefited a lot from this initiative. As we speak now, we have Otaakrom Technical Institute included in TVET, Nursing Training College soon to commence and other educational infrastructure projects like classroom blocks and teachers quarters” said Hon Marfo.
