Some youth in Ejisu in the Ashanti Region hooted at the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.
The youth were chanting the name of the former Member of Parliament and Independent candidate in the by-election, Kwabena Owusu Aduomi.
They argued that he is best fit to replace the late Member of Parliament, John Kumah.
The youth chanted “Aduomi no size, Aduomi no size” while they hooted at Chairman Wontumi chanting “away, away” in his presence.

The Ejisu by-election became necessary after the death of Dr John Kumah who was the Member of Parliament.
The Electoral Commission has earmarked April 30, 2024 for the election.
Meanwhile, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that they will not contest in the race. However, the National Organizer for the opposition political party has thrown his weight behind the Independent candidate, Kwabena Owusu Aduomi.
