Chiefs and residents of Hiawu Besease in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality of the Ashanti Region have vowed to angage in a bloody fight with anyone who will will bring ballot boxes or papers for voting on Dec.7, 2020.
Speaking Sofoba Kwame Afrifah of Agyenkwa Fm, they said their major problem is the untarred road from Sepaase to Ntensere which makes life unbearable for them anytime it rains and in the dry season many of them fall sick because of dust.
Bad odour, reptiles, stinky water from the refuse damp and open defecation are causing a lot of sicknesses to us. They added.
According to them, they are warning the government officials in the Constituency not to bring any ballot papers or boxes for they will not vote or they better bring those items together with huge number of security personnel because there will be a bloody combat if their problems are not taken into consideration.
They again added that they will organize a massive demonstration to press home their needs.
Chief Linguist of Besease Traditional Council, Nana Manu Owusu Achiaw, also added that he doesn’t know why they massively vote for NPP in all elections but the government have not brought even a single projects to their area or town.
“I’m boldly saying that no road no vote or we will organize a massive demonstration and campaign against the NPP government.” He said.
“Government should tar our road for us and build toilet and other projects for us otherwise we will not vote at all.”
In responds to that, the Assemblyman for the area, Hon. Osei Tutu, said he has informed the Municipal Chief Executive, Member of Parliament but up till now nothing good has been done or come as responds.
According to him he supports the leaders and residents of both Ahodwo and Besease in any move they will embark on.
