Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency First Vice Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Sir John, known in real life as Mr. John Kwame Duodu, has won the International Philanthropist Award at the just-ended Ghana Youth Leaders Awards which took place at the Accra Airport View Hotel on Saturday, 20th May 2023.
The award honors heroes who serve as advocates, activists, and role models in ways that are ultimately transforming communities and bringing about positive change in Ghanaian society and the world at large.
According to organizers of the Awards Scheme, “His [Sir John’s] accomplishments in changing lives have been recognized by our board, and this award has only honor honored him for all he has been doing for society and to encourage him even do more.
Speaking after receiving the award, Sir John, who doubles as the Ashanti Regional TESCON Patron and the Director of Finance of Royal Ann College of Health based in Kumasi, said that he is committed to making the dreams of children and vulnerable persons living in remote and desolate communities a reality the consciously crafted approach to education, health, women empowerment, and youth mentoring.”
“It is a tremendous honor to receive such an award, and to be recognized amongst the very best of the humanitarian sector is an incredible moment for me,” Sir John stated.
He added, “Throughout the years of my philanthropic work, I have had the honor of working alongside people and teams who strive to make a difference in the lives of the less privileged, which is what we stand for.
“I would like to dedicate this award to all my members, our donors, partners, and mentors in the same field, and those who support and share my vision of making the world a better one for all humans,” he added.

I am truly honored and humbled to receive this philanthropic award. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to everyone who has supported and encouraged me on this journey.
Philanthropy has always been a passion of mine, and it is deeply fulfilling to be recognized on this day for the work that I have done over the years.
