Established since 1944 classroom block is in it dilapidated state at( Amakye Bare) a farming community in the Atwima Nwabiagya north district of the Ashanti region.

According to the Assembly member of the community, Hon Osei Tutu Collins, ever since Amakye Barekuma R/C primary school was established in the community, there has not been any rehabilitation since decades and it’s in dilapidated state which government and other stakeholders must as matter of urgent come to their aid.

“It’s almost (77) years now since the school was built and is posing danger to the children’s and the teachers over there.

I personally and the elders of the community have tried our possible best to resolve this challenges but has proven futile.

The building has lasted for quiet years now which it needed to be rebuild because it is the only government school in the community.Over 500 students are there currently and each classroom accommodate more than the expected number at this time of covid-19 era.

There’s no social distancing in the various classrooms and we are much worried over it.

He made this remarks when speaking with MyGhanaMedia.com  Community Watch team during a visit to the area.

He then again stressed that, the pupils always seek permission from the teachers to go home anytime they wanted to attend a nature call because there’s isn’t any toilet facility in the school.
