The Central Regional Police Command has conducted a swoop in Kasoa in the Central Region on Thursday, April 29 on the back of the suspected “ritual killing” of an 11-year-old boy by two teenagers in the area.
According to a report by TV3, the swoop was based on intelligence gathered by the police since the death of Ishmael Abdallah Mensah, that has brought the area in bad light in the eyes of the public.
The police say the swoop was conducted to rid the enclave of criminals.
Kasoa has become notorious for all kinds of vices, the recent one tipping the lid on them.
Dozens of suspects were rounded up by the police in the swoop, with the exact number undisclosed by the police.
According to TV3‘s reporter Peter Kwao Adattor, a lot of young men and a few ladies were arrested in the area with a lot of electronic gadgets seized from them.
The screening of the suspects is still ongoing before the police will address the media on the matter to ascertain the facts and details, our reporter said.
