Ahenkan FM’s Presenter Adwenpa-Hene Donates Metro High-speed Ceiling Fan To Akyem Aboabo Health Centre.

A Ghanaian Journalist, Adwenpa-Hene Kofi Mensah, secretly known as Mensah Francis, has provided a metro high-speed ceiling fan to the Akyem Aboabo Health Center to help circulate air to staff and patients within their various facilities.

The ceiling fan was presented to the administrator of the healthcare facility on Thursday, January 18, 2024.

Speaking at the presentation, Ahenkan FM’s presenter said that the gesture is part of his social responsibility as a journalist.

He added that the donation is his initial contribution to the health facility, revealing that there are more benefits to come.

Adwenpa-Hene Kofi Mensah, the correspondent for Daily Searchlight, in addition to being the editor of MyGhanaMedia.com and TodayGhanaMedia.com, urged the clinics to use the ceiling fan for its intended purpose. He revealed that he decided to step in after passing by one of the clinics and witnessing some patients and medical staff sitting and using a piece of paper to fan themselves.

“I decided to assist after observing some patients fan themselves with the piece of paper. I had intended to do it on my birthday, but I had to reschedule due to an unforeseen circumstance. As a journalist, I have listed a number of things I plan to do for my community; I have done this before, and I won’t stop.”.

 

The facility in charge and also the midwife at Aboabo Health Center, Madam Agnes Adaborah, expressed her gratitude, thanked the presenter, and prayed that God replenish him.

She said that the fans will definitely benefit the community, especially the patients and staff.

Nonetheless, Madam Agnes Adaborah urged the others to support the facility.

 

 

Some of the nurses at the center expressed their gratitude and prayed for God’s blessings on Adwenpa-Hene Kofi Mensah.

According to them, they have been praying for fans for a long time because of the tightness of the building, which makes it hot.

They said that Adwenpa’s generosity ought to serve as a model for others, asking them to contribute certain items the facility is lacking so the nurses can offer the public high-quality care.
