Dr. Bawumia Welcomes Former Second Lady From Medical Trip In UK

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 received former Second Lady, Hajia Ramatu Mahama at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra after a medical trip to the United Kingdom.

The wife of late former Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama was flown out of the country for treatment after she took ill in September 2021.

 

Dr Bawumia together with the Aliu Mahama family led by Member of Parliament for Yendi, Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahamaand other siblings gave the former educationist to a resounding welcome.

 

 

 

Farouk Mahama in a Facebook post thanked President Akufo-Addo and Dr Bawumia for their care and support to the Hajia Ramatu and the family.

He wrote;

“The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, joined the Aliu Mahama family yesternight to receive the former Second Lady, Hajia Ramatu Mahama at the Airport after her medical trip to the United Kingdom.

“The family is profoundly grateful to President of the Republic, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, the Vice President and the government for the show of demonstrable magnanimity in giving the Former Second Lady a deserving treatment.”
