Ejisu MP Support 150 Woman’s In Vocational Skills Training

The Minister of Finance and also Member of Parliament for Ejisu constituency of the Ashanti Region, Lawyer Hon. John Ampontuah Kumah has commenced a free vocational skills training for residents within his jurisdiction.

The duration is 7 days and will cover courses including; washing powder, pastries, liquid soap, hair conditioner, shampoo, parazone, shower gel, among others.

Implementation of the initiative is handled by the NPP Women Organiser Vida Adjei through a collaboration with ASEDA Foundation.

First batch of trainees running a little over 150 turned up for the launch of program on Saturday 20th May 2023.

Present at the event were the MCE Hon Samuel Oduro Frimpong, 2nd Vice Chairman Lawyer Kwabena Boateng, CEO for ASEDA Foundation Diana Adjei, Women’s Organiser Vida Adjei Boateng among others.

Addressing the trainees, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) who spoke on behalf of the Member of Parliament, Hon. Samuel Oduro Frimpong urged them to make good use of whatever training they will receive and utilize it effectively when they start a career.

Acquiring an entrepreneurship training skills will help everyone to start his/her own business and it also make more money for themselves and their families and ultimately make them financially independent.

He told the media that the initiative is a brain-child of the MP and the aim is to empower residents economically as they start their own business with the skills acquired through the training.

Hon. Oduro indicated that, the training is programmed to cover every resident within the constituency who is ready to learn a skill for a living.

The Women Organiser Vida Adjei thanked Hon John Kumah for the support.

She urged the trainees to take the training serious and try as much as possible to monitize the sklls they acquire after graduation.
