The Porcupine Warriors secured three points thanks to an impressive first half, scoring two goals through Andrew Kwadwo Appau and Mbella Etouga.

They were coming off a shock loss, but it only took them 23 minutes to take the lead when Appau leapt highest to nod a corner kick into the net.
The goal stunned Medeama, but it inspired Kotoko, who added a second through their talisman Etouga, who finished calmly after being set up by Mudasiru Salifu.
Brilliant header from Andrews Appau!👏@MedeamaSC 0 : 1 @AsanteKotoko_SC

Etouga rounded the goalkeeper and fired a shot into the net a few minutes to halftime, but it wasn’t a perfect half for Kotoko, as Mudasiru was sent off after receiving his second yellow card.
Kotoko set up with ten men in the second half to defend their two goals, and they succeeded. They were resolute in defence, with goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim making some spectacular saves to keep Medeama at bay.
The victory puts Kotoko nine points clear at the top of the table. If Hearts of Oak, the reigning champions and bitter rivals, lose to Karela United on Monday, they will be crowned champions.
