A/R: Clergies Endorse Bawumia

The Members of Clergies in the Ashanti Region have thrown their weight behind Dr. Mahamedu Bawumia in his bid to become President of Ghana in the 2024 general election.

The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamedu Bawumia, earned praise from the Father’s Court Clergy Association for his significant contribution to several revolutionary projects implemented during his tenure as vice president of Ghana.

 

The President of  Father’s Court Clergy, Rev. Kobby Agyenman said at a press conference held at the Santase Champion Hotel in the Ashanti Region that Dr. Bawumia was the best candidate to lead the NPP to “break the 8” because of his humility, leadership skills, and party loyalty, and that’s why the delegates didn’t let him down.

 

He claims that the driving force behind their actions is several kinds of developmental programmes and initiatives implemented by President Akufo Addo and the Bawumia administration, including the immensely successful Free Senior High School, which has benefited every child in Ghana; Agenda 111 projects; planting for food and jobs; and infrastructure projects.

 

The digitization of different economic sectors, according to Rev. Kobby Agyenman, has the greatest potential for understanding, analysing, and managing Ghana’s economy.

He proceeded by saying that the performance tracker had shown the enormous progress that Akufo-Addo and Bawumia had made in the nation and that, as a result, they could not sit back and let any political party use propaganda to unseat the NPP administration.

He continued, saying that the organisation will make trips to every region to endorse Dr. Bawumia in his bid to succeed President Akufo Addo.

Rev. Kobby Agyenman said that although money is a necessity for everyone, neither Bawumia’s team nor any representative of the New Patriotic Party has provided monetary aid for them to endorse the flagbearer of the ruling government.

He added that the Father’s Court Clergy Association is supporting Bawumia for the good of the nation, not for their own gain.
